![]() Go into the cave, open the Cache, and head out the exit. Destroy the Metal Flower and it will open up a cave entrance below you on the right that will lead you to the main flower. From the ledge Do is on, jump to the other cliff on the opposite side by using the grapple point (or your Glider) to help you get across. Look for the Metal Flower that controls the vines which will be on the cliff above Do. Once it's clear, go to the right and up the ramp. At this point, the Quest will be put on hold until the code is ready. Talk to Zo at the Base and Wait for the Reboot Codeīack at the Base, Zo tells Aloy that Tap to Reveal still needs time to configure the reboot code. She will head back to the base to start working on the reboot sequence. Once the machines have been defeated, loot the Grimhorn control cores and give them to Zo. Watch for the cluster bombs and dodge out of the way when you see them. Ropecasters work well in keeping the Grimhorn in one place. Zo will aid Aloy in dropping ammo, which will be incredibly useful because the Grimhorns will eat up a lot of your ammo. The Grimhorns will be the most difficult fight. Tail Capsule: This Capsule contains valuable resources if you can detach it.You can detach the clamps to disable this ability. Tail Clamp: The Grimhorn can shoot this component and when it does it exposes the Tail Capsule. ![]() If you are able to detach you will not only disable this attack but you can use this as a heavy weapon. The Grimhorn is able to launch cluster bombs that split and explode. Cluster Launcher: If there is a component that needs to be detached as soon as possible, it will be this Launcher.Blaze Sac: Located on its back, these will explode when destroyed.They are detachable with Tear damage and in doing so, you will disable this attack. Horns: These powerful horns do a ton of melee damage.You can take it down easily with a Critical Strike or Power Strike. It will take to the sky whenever possible, but a few good shots on its weak spots and it will be knocked down. Once it is detached the melee attack will be disabled. It also has a detachable Razor Tail that is its primary melee weapon. It has a Sparker at the base of its tail that will explode when damaged by Shock ammo. It is weak against Frost damage but strong versus Fire damage. The Skydrifter will be the easier of the machines to defeat. Elemental explosions will be helpful, so aim at as many exploding components as you can. Shredder Gauntlets can be useful if the machine has a lot of the components in roughly the same general area. Spike Throwers are also effective especially if you are not concerned about saving the components. ![]() If you have a Ropecaster, this will be useful to keep the machines tethered for a time. Use the traps located all around the Hunting Grounds you can take out a few of the machines with just the traps alone. It is better to try to get the Skydrifter, Leaplasher, and the Bellowbacks first before taking on the Grimhorns. You can Silent Strike certain machines if you want to be stealthy. Fortunately, the site used to be an old Tenakth Hunting Ground, so there will be plenty of traps to use.īe careful not to trigger all the machines at once as they are very tough to beat when they combine their strengths. There will be at least two Apex Grimhorns there along with an Apex Leaplasher, two Frost Bellowbacks, and a Skydrifter.
